I don’t believe we are designed or should be expected to face life’s challenges alone; I find true joy in helping others to find different ways of living life to its fullest, being compassionate towards ourselves when challenges arise and opening ourselves up to all that life can hold for us.
I’m a psychological therapist qualified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), specialising in working with Eating Disorders and have over 6 years of experience working with adults who experience depression, anxiety disorders including OCD and social anxiety and PTSD/trauma. I deliver quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions and I am also passionate about integrating third wave therapeutic approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Mindfulness where it seems that an individual would benefit. I utilise regular professional clinical supervision with a BABCP accredited supervisor to ensure I am delivering best practice.
I offer 1:1 assessment and treatment for individuals who want to overcome mental health difficulties and work towards meaningful and valuable change, although you don't need to know what that exactly looks like before starting! I also run group workshops with a colleague around self-esteem and I can provide details for the next course coming up in 2022.
