About Rachel

I know how difficult life can feel at times.

We can feel lost, misunderstood, sad and confused, longing for our story to be heard and our needs acknowledged.

I hope by offering you a safe space to talk, we can begin to explore some of those difficulties together.

I know history can't be changed, but we can change ourselves by understanding our life journey better.

Sometimes the hardest word we can say is 'help' but I believe it's also the bravest.

I became a counsellor because I know the impact therapy had upon my own life and it would be my privilege to help you on your journey too.

I work with adults and children aged 12 and above using an integrative model of counselling.

I always tailor my sessions to your needs, using an integrative model of counselling.

I bring experience of working with anxiety, low self esteem, relationship difficulties, bereavement (including child loss) parenting problems, teenagers & work related issues.

I have worked in the media and charity sector and have lived experience of the impact of Covid.

Faith and spirituality are important elements of my life, so I'm happy to explore these further if this is helpful to you.

I've been described as kind and compassionate, but I'm also inquisitive and happy to have difficult conversations and sit with uncomfortable emotions.

I appreciate how hard it can be to make that first step into counselling, but please be assured if you do reach out to me, you will receive a warm reply.

I offer a free phone consultation to explore how we maybe able to work together - long or short term - and look forward to hearing from you and help you find your authentic self.

  • "After a lifetime of being told what to do and how to be, Rachel allowed me the space to explore how I feel. I walk away from our sessions feeling heard and understood. T

  • "It was one of the darkest places I’d been for a long long time but Rachel helped me process my grief. She made talking about my feelings and emotions so natural, more than anyone else ever has. She helped me not only see the hope and light at the end of the tunnel but walked with me, in my own time, till I was more stable. I appreciate you, thank you Rachel."
