About Nora

Therapy is an investment in your current and future wellbeing. I provide my clients with expert support in identifying the source of their concerns, and developing positive change. Whether you're struggling with depression, anxiety, stress around work or study, relational problems, or a variety of many things, I tailor our sessions to the strengths and needs of each individual. I pull from experience with person-centered, solution-focused, trauma-informed, and verbal-processing methods. I experience the weight of navigating life, and hope to support you in finding ways to lift that weight a little and find more control and ease in your life. Our work can be short-term, focused on a specific need, or long-term exploring foundational patterns and how they impact you now.

I am a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist in the UK, I have relocated from the USA, where I trained and worked for many years. My approach is integrative and my first task as a therapist is to build a relationship with you in which you feel safe and supported to dig into the things that are troubling you and work towards your goals. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, trauma, relational issues, mood swings, life changes, and day-to-day stressors.

I work with children, adults, and families—I particularly enjoy working with teenagers. I have experience supporting individuals with varied identities and backgrounds, including folks who are neurodiverse (ASD, ADHD, etc.), and LGBTQ+, and I honour all the facets of who you are. Our 50-minute sessions are confidential and client-led. I value collaboration and transparency in treatment and offer frequent discussions of your experience in therapy, including whether your expectations are being met.

It can feel like a risk to start with a new therapist, so I offer a free 15-minute initial chat to assess whether we'd work well together. I also work with open ended contracts, which allow you to opt out of the service at any time--although I recommend a process for closing the therapeutic relationship once you feel you have gained what you needed from our work together.
