About me
I am a psychotherapist working with adults navigating challenges such as anxiety, grief, trauma, identity and life transitions. I also offer structured support for people exploring ADHD or making sense of a recent diagnosis.
Many people come to therapy knowing something isn’t working, even if they can’t yet put it into words. The work is a space to understand what has shaped your experience, and to begin making changes that feel realistic and sustainable.
How I work
My approach is humanistic at its core — grounded in the belief that each person has the capacity for growth, greater self-understanding and deeper connection.
I integrate this with evidence-based approaches including CBT, Gestalt and short-term psychodynamic therapy. I also draw on psychoeducation, sharing ideas and models openly so the process feels collaborative and clear.
Alongside my psychotherapy training, I bring a background in coaching, mediation and leadership development. This gives the work a practical focus as well as reflective depth.
ADHD focused work
For some clients, ADHD is part of the picture.
Following diagnosis, many people find that while things make more sense, they are still left with the question: what do I do with this?
I offer a more structured approach alongside psychotherapy to help bridge that gap.
This work focuses on:
— understanding how ADHD shows up for you
— identifying the areas that most affect your day-to-day life
— developing practical ways of working with those patterns
It is particularly helpful for people who have recently been diagnosed, or who recognise patterns of inconsistency, overwhelm or difficulty with follow-through and want a more practical way forward.
My approach is informed by training with Dr James Kustow at The Grove, and draws on the framework set out in Thrive with Adult ADHD.
Who I work with
I work with adults who may be:
— feeling stuck, anxious or overwhelmed
— navigating loss or a life transition
— carrying shame or the impact of earlier experiences
— trying to make sense of relationships or identity
— noticing patterns that repeat despite their best efforts
I have significant experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals and people in non- traditional relationships.
Background
I am a BACP-registered therapist with training in humanistic integrative counselling. I also hold a BSc in Psychology and professional training in coaching, mediation and adult ADHD and bring over thirty years of experience working with individuals, groups and teams.
Alongside my professional training I bring personal experience of harnessing my own nerodiversity and my own patterns of attention and regulation, which informs my approach to ADHD-related work.
Next step
I offer an initial conversation to see whether working together feels like a good fit.
