London, United Kingdom
I specialise in trauma, generalised anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, feelings of dissociation, bereavement, sexual abuse, panic attacks, low-self esteem, stress, existential crisis, life transitions, sex and relationships, familial conflicts and personality disorders.
As well as working with a wide range of age groups i have extensively worked with young adults in various educational settings such as schools and universities. I am currently part of the counselling team at Roehampton University.
How i work
I work relationally with each client, getting to know my client's unique story to better understand what is going on for them and their aims in therapy. I feel the most important thing is for each client to feel safe and grounded with me. I adapt my practise to each individual's needs and can provide practical strategies with dealing with intense and uncontrollable emotions through incorporating techniques like (DBT) Dialetical Behavioural Therapy, which aims to help with distress tolerance and conflicts within interpersonal relationships. I'm able to work through a short term solution focused modality (6-12 sessions) or a more long term holistic practise using psychodynamic and humanistic approaches which aims to explore how your past experiences may have impacted you.
