Jasenka Horvat

Jasenka Horvat is a HCPC registered music therapist, EAMI accredited Guided Imagery and Music (GIM) therapist and Fellow with the Association for Music and Imagery (AMI). She is a Senior Lecturer of Therapeutic Studies at the University of South Wales and an Associate Professor of Music Therapy at the J.J. Strossmayer University in Osijek, Croatia.

Jasenka obtained her Master of Music Therapy qualification at the Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Centre in London, where she subsequently worked for over 22 years as a therapist, supervisor, lecturer and manager. In addition, Jasenka trained as a BMGIM therapist and has completed specialist training in the Continuum Model of Guided Imagery and Music at the Institute for Music and Consciousness. 

Jasenka lives in London and has an extensive therapeutic private practice, offering sessions online and in person. She has special interest and expertise in working collaboratively with people needing support with:

• Trauma
• Bereavement
• Stress management and burnout 
• Personal development and self-care

In addition, Jasenka provides personal therapy for students in therapeutic training, as well as tailored experiential group sessions for various corporate organisations.
