Who am I?
I’m a therapist, an artist, a researcher, and a writer. I have a pretty wide range of interests both personal and professional — I come from a background in the arts (mostly music, painting, and theatre), I’m a certified yoga and meditation instructor, and I’m a bit of a philosophy nerd.
What’s my therapeutic style?
Currently, I’m driven by existential, psychodynamic, and trauma-informed modalities. The existential approaches to therapy really resonate with me and I find it so fulfilling when themes like death, loss, meaning, and choice come up in the therapy. Along with that, I’m dedicated to providing social-justice oriented work, rooted an awareness of how systems of racism, sexism, anti-queerness, fatphobia, and monogamy all affect how we view ourselves and others. It’s important that the space feels safe and collaborative, so I’m all for finding the best approach and adjusting along the way.
What are my areas of expertise?
I completed an advanced certificate in Sexuality, Women, and Gender studies with a concentration in LGBTQ+ identities at Columbia University, so I feel very competent in working with folks with queer, trans, nonbinary, and gender-expansive identities.
