I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Counsellor, currently working towards BABCP accreditation as a High Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. CBT focuses on a problem-solving approach to help people learn how to react in a different, more positive way to the situations that can lead to problems. By learning new strategies, you can also learn how to change your behaviour and reactions, and how to think about things in a more positive way, thereby improving your life across a range of aspects. Depending on the person in question, and the problems that they have, CBT can be conducted together with a wide range of techniques
I have more than five years experience in working with people from different backgrounds, with different challenges. CBT incorporates many techniques, including how to change thinking patterns and manage intense emotions, eliminating negative self-talk, mindfulness, and breaking unhelpful behavioural patterns.
