I am Sonia a registered Counsellor with the BACP. I have worked with clients who have various different issues such as relationship problems, self esteem, stress, anxiety. Weight loss issues, DNA surprises, historical sex abuse trauma, and many other issues that have caused clients to struggle.

I work mainly with adults on an individual basis . My practical training for two years was with a counselling service for survivors of sexual abuse and rape, it was here that I learned about trauma and how it can affect people in many different ways.

Since qualifying, I have worked in private practice, face to face before lockdown took place and during lockdown I worked with people on video link . Now, I am available for video link or by telephone where I will hear you without judgement . I am not a religious person but believe that everyone should be able to openly follow their own beliefs and cultures.

My approach is through Talking Therapy where I believe that you as the client are the expert in you and you hold the answer to your troubles. The Talking Therapy works with both of us exploring and reflecting on your patterns and maybe your past to find the root cause of any issues. This way we can find solutions together to improve your life and make changes if that is what you want to do.

Sometimes clients need to offload and talk which in itself takes a weight off those shoulders making life easier.
