Thank you for choosing to look at my profile. You're here I believe as you wish for change in your life, and have made the first move to looking how you may find the necessary support to do so. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is a fundamental necessity to enable the process of change to occur. It is therefore, important for you to find a therapist whom you feel able to trust and build the necessary therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I offer the initial session free to enable both parties to make those mutual decisions.

As a Dramatherapist I use a person centered approach and encourage (when desired) creative mediums to enable expression, especially when words may not be sufficient, using varying mediums. As a registered and experienced Dramatherapist look to enable individuals (and groups) find their own forms of expression. This may include any or all of the following, the list is not extensive; drawing, creating images, movement, story- telling, puppetry, virtual sand tray, sculpture, role play and narrative. I also use online virtual worlds for those who may wish to have an imaginative space using avatars to explore.

Since qualifying I have undergone extensive training in various area's; working with trauma and PTSD, supporting children and young people and families; including those who have entered the care system, as well as adoptive families. I have worked extensively in schools and colleges, both MLPD and mainstream. I have trained using the methods of Dyadic developmental psychotherapy (DDP) and Neuro dramatic play (NDP) working closely with parents and infants, looking at childhood development with the strong emphasis on Attachment Theory.

I am experienced in supporting families and individuals who find life challenging emotionally as well as, those who have learning disabilities and see life through various spectrums. I look to support those who find the outside world awkward to navigate and who feel support would be benificial.
