Dr Sanjay Nelson is a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in supporting adults with neurodevelopmental conditions and learning disabilities. The diagnostic assessment of adults with Autism (ASD) is Dr Nelson’s specialist area of interest.

Alongside his work here at Augmentive, Dr Nelson serves as the Clinical Director for Learning Disability services at the East London NHS Foundation Trust.

With over 15 years of experience in psychiatry and in the NHS, Dr Nelson is known for his exceptional clinical skills in managing clients with complex needs. As a dedicated educator, Dr Nelson delivers teaching and training to multidisciplinary teams and is an educational supervisor for core and higher specialist trainee doctors. His involvement in research work and quality improvement projects demonstrates his commitment to continuous service improvement and personal development.
