About Marta

I specialise in trauma and neurodivergence, working with clients experiencing trauma and complex trauma and its primary and secondary impacts on thoughts, emotions, and the body. My expertise lies in supporting individuals through trauma-related symptoms, including anxiety, hyper-vigilance, self-criticism, relational difficulties, and attachment challenges.

Many of my clients navigate the intersection of autism / ADHD / AuDHD and trauma, addressing challenges like sensory overwhelm, burnout, masking, identity struggles, social anxiety, relationship difficulties, and the impact of bullying, rejection, or discrimination.

Whether you're dealing with childhood adversity, relational trauma, or navigating burnout and sensory overwhelm, I provide a compassionate, trauma-informed and neurodivergence-focused approach to help you heal and grow.

My Approach:

PTSD and complex PTSD develop as responses to traumatic experiences, often deeply rooted in relational wounds where safety and trust were compromised. These responses are closely tied to shifts in nervous system states, such as hypervigilance, shutdown, or avoidance, which shape our interactions and relationships.

For neurodivergent individuals, these challenges can be even harder. A sensitive nervous system can make trauma feel more overwhelming, and being misunderstood by others often adds to the emotional pain. That’s why it’s so important to have a space where the connection between trauma and neurodivergence is understood.

In therapy, we explore how your past experiences impact your current thinking patterns, emotional states, and behaviours, including the effects of trauma on your body and mind. By developing practical emotional regulation strategies, you can then start working toward building stronger connections, improving resilience and self-acceptance, and enhancing your overall well-being in a grounded and supportive way.

Experience and Expertise:

I work through the NHS and independently with both neurotypical and neurodivergent adult clients (18+). I am a neurodivergent, bilingual, BABCP accredited practitioner with 9 years of experience. I have specialised training in Compassion-Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, CBT, CPT, Mindfulness, and somatic approaches, which I integrate into my practice.

Sessions

I offer weekly or fortnightly sessions, either in person or remotely via video. Therapy can be short or longer term, always goal-oriented, solution-focused, and led by your needs and priorities.

I welcome both self-funding clients and those who wish to use their private health insurance for therapy sessions. I am a recognized provider for Bupa, AXA Health, AVIVA and Cigna Healthcare.

With both lived experience and robust clinical training, I offer a genuine and practical approach to therapy. If this resonates with you, I’d love to hear from you.
