About Lisa

Lisa McGarva Registered Level 2 Yoga Teacher (500 hours) Yoga Australia, Certified Yoga Therapist- International Association of Yoga Therapists. Registered Teacher with the Queensland College of Teachers. Counsellor, registered with the Australian Counselling Association. Presently studying a Diploma of Clinical Sexology (Graduation due 2023) with the Contemporary Institute of Clinical Sexology in the U.K.. LGBTQIA+ safe and Sex Positive.


Hello I’m Lisa. In my first year at University I struggled with anxiety and depression. This led me on my healing journey where I discovered Yoga. It helped me immensely with my mental health, and I learnt that it also made me feel better in my body. The Teacher in me was compelled to share this knowledge to help others with their mental and physical health. In 2011 I opened my own yoga studio, and then did further training to become a Yoga Therapist while also Teaching as a Behaviour Specialist in schools. In 2020 I furthered my education to be a registered Counsellor. It is my passion to be able to share my knowledge and skills to help people with their own physical and mental health to be in a state of balance. https://www.thinkingfeelingmoving.com @yogacounsellor
