Dr. Bakshi has over 20 years of experience as a psychiatrist. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (FRCPsych) and is registered with the General Medical Council as a specialist in General Adult Psychiatry and Substance Misuse Psychiatry. He is an Approved Clinician under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act as having specialist expertise in assessment and management of mental illness. Dr. Bakshi has special expertise in diagnosing and treating mental disorders. He has extensive experience as a Consultant Psychiatrist with the NHS, delivering care to working-age adults with a range of mental illnesses and disorders, Additionally, he has expertise in assessing and treating perinatal mental illnesses.

Dr. Bakshi serves on the Executive Committee of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Eastern Division. He has held other significant roles, including Deputy Medical Director and College Tutor. He is currently on the Board of a national charitable organisation dedicated to supporting people with mental illness and substance misuse.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Bakshi will be offering Adult ADHD Assessment and ADHD Medical Review (for previously diagnosed patients) to his Augmentive Services, in October 2024.

Dr Bakshi's specialist accreditation and expertise is in working with adults between the ages of 18 and 65 only. Patients over the age of 65 are therefore advised to seek assistance from a psychiatrist who specialises in older patient assessments.

Before scheduling a booking request, please allow adequate time to complete a Registration form and to collate any further medical information which may be requested prior to your assessment date. Dr Bakshi requires this information in order for adequate diagnostic preparation before an assessment. Last minute bookings may be rescheduled to allow time to return relevant information that is required.

Dr Bakshi's mailbox and messages are monitored by his medical secretary, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00-1:00pm only. Any replies will be sent within 24 hours of receipt (except weekends/Bank Holidays).
