I am a psychodynamic counsellor and therapist at MSc level.
It can be incredibly difficult to reach out when you feel something is ‘not quite right’ or even needing someone who will listen to thoughts or feelings you have been holding. The trigger to considering therapy can be anything happening in your present life, anxiety about the future, self-esteem or self- worth even repeating behaviours that are impacting your quality of life.
Psychodynamic counselling looks at the examination of self, I provide a safe and non- judgemental space to allow this process to take place. Through this we can explore relation to others in your life, how behaviour patterns might be repeating and how some of this may link to early life experiences. This history allows us understand how difficulties faced in past can be effecting us in the present allowing for recovery and better understanding of your conscious and unconscious mind.
I have experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, bereavement, emotional abuse, loneliness, low self-confidence or self-esteem and relationships problems. Many of these can be explored in long or short term number of sessions.
