Congleton, United Kingdom
Hi there, welcome! My name is Ianto (an old Welsh name) and as an English national I offer counselling services in English.
I believe that psychological and emotional wellbeing are just as important as physical wellbeing, and my approach will be unique for you.
I will work with you to identify how our sessions can be of most benefit for you.
Therapy is a place for you to come as you are and to be completely yourself. It is vital to me that you feel heard, validated, and have a safe space to process your experiences, to discover yourself and to understand what you need.
Reaching out for help can be difficult and often scary, especially when you don't know what to expect. I look forward to working with you!
I hold Professional Accreditation status with the National Counselling Society (NCS). Additionally, I am subscribed to multiple Accredited Registers (National Counselling Society (NCS), British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP)) that have been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority. Acceptance onto these registers demonstrates my commitment to high professional standards, to enhancing safety and delivering a better service.
I maintain enhanced DBS checks.
I work with some of the largest Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) and health insurers in the UK (including Axa, Vitality Health Insurance, Aviva Health Insurance and others) to deliver local help (via face to face, telephone and online services) and nationwide help (via telephone and online services).
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is very important to me and I regularly attend professional development days, workshops and courses.
I feel that I have (and that we all have) a lot of very varied life-experience, which taught me that not only is it 'good to talk' - it can be vital. I believe that psychological and emotional well-being is just as important as physical well-being. I believe that you, as the client, need your own space to discover yourself and understand what YOU need, and though I can help facilitate this process, you must be prepared to work for yourself within therapy, and reap your own rewards. I believe it is most important that you find the right therapist for you before you begin your journey of healing.
