I offer Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, which is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic approach to anyone looking to improve their mental health and well-being with tools and techniques. My vision is to use my skills and professional training to tailor a treatment for my client's needs effectively.
I value providing a kind, compassionate, supportive experience and treating everyone with respect.
I use Systematic Family Therapy to help families/couples solve their issues and the symptoms of various mental health conditions, primarily PTSD, Trauma, depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD and substance use disorder (SUD).
I use the principles of
Metacognitive Therapy (MCT)
Dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
Motivational Interviewing for Addiction
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
and CBT as my integrative approach to helping individuals.
I have been in significant natural hazards like earthquakes and floods as mental health first aider.
I worked at Inspire Partnership, a community drug and alcohol service in Sutton as a counsellor and also worked with refugees and asylum seekers in the UK who suffered from different mental illnesses.
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, Accredited Practitioner member of Addiction Professionals and Accredited registrant member of National Counselling Society.
I have undertaken courses in NLP, TA and Mindfulness. I have done online courses like CBT with older people, UEA (University of East Anglia), Mindfulness for wellbeing and peak performance at Monash University and Understanding Anxiety, Depression and CBT at the University of Reading, also the Psychological first aid RAPID model offered by Johns Hopkins University.
I offer counselling to English, Persian, Farsi and Dari speaker.
