Where I work (in Harrogate), there are signs on trees by litter bins. They say, "You're amazing!" or "You're rubbish!" I wonder what word you would use to describe yourself just now? However you are feeling about yourself and your life, counselling can be a way to experience companionship in your difficulties, to know that you are not alone.

I offer a quality of listening that I hope will help you to feel heard and accepted. As we work together we will create a space for what is on your heart and mind, so that you can find a way forward that suits your life and what matters to you most.

I have five years' training in counselling covering various aspects of therapy. Since qualifying I have developed a humanistic relational approach. This means that I will seek to build a relationship with you where I offer warmth, interest and a way for you to explore your challenges which takes account of who you are and what you bring to the counselling space.

I have been on chaplaincy visiting teams in hospitals, counselled clients following miscarriage and stillbirth with a pregnancy support service, worked with a local general counselling service and now work in private practice.

Areas I work with include: relationships, change, fertility struggles, parenting, trauma, faith, identity, self-esteem, anxiety, health issues.
