If you are looking for a relational and personalised approach to therapy, look no further.
Hello and welcome; my name is Elizabeth. I am a relational integrative therapist, couple therapist, clinical supervisor, and group facilitator.
I will provide you a warm, judgement-free space to explore the issues you are facing.
Therapy is not an easy journey, nor a quick fix. Therapy can be challenging, but with the right therapist, you can gain a deeper understanding to develop a better relationship with your 'self' (the most important relationship ever!) and others.
I have extensive experience in helping individuals, couples and groups, my specialised areas are wide. Some include relationship issues, anxiety, anger, addiction recovery, trauma, bereavement & loss (natural, sudden, traumatic), communication, childhood trauma, anxiety, depression, domestic abuse, self-esteem, self-harm, shame, guilt, & work-related stress.
My approach to therapy is always personalised to individual needs (no two people are the same). I work short-term & long-term, incorporating a variety of theories and techniques, from psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, compassion-based therapy, CBT, existential, humanistic & transpersonal modalities. Through curious exploration, we work together collaboratively, curiously looking at unconscious drivers (the root of the issues you face), aiming to develop a better self-awareness of your feelings, thoughts & behaviours, which assist you in moving forward.
To give you a sense of who I am as a professional, I am described as a warm, genuine & compassionate therapist. I will challenge you to consider new perspectives and provide feedback authentically on my experience of you helping you understand how people experience you for personal growth .
I believe mind, body and soul are entwined and therefore work holistically. I promote choice, transparent communication, healthier life choices, self-awareness, accountability for a more forfilling relationships and emotional well-being. I don't give advice or try to fix you; I don't believe anyone is broken. We are all sent challenges in life that cause cracks and breakages, and yet like a mosque, we can piece these parts together to make beautiful art.
Couple Therapy Model: developed by Elizabeth Cooper
Six-Week Model: Building a Culture of Appreciation
This structured yet flexible model helps couples improve communication, empathy, and self-awareness while letting go of resentments and building stronger emotional connections. Each week focuses on key relationship aspects, such as understanding your dynamics, improving communication, fostering forgiveness, and creating a culture of appreciation by celebrating strengths and contributions. Activities to rekindle love, laughter, and emotional intimacy are incorporated to create a more fulfilling and joyful relationship.
20-Week Model: Addressing Complex Challenges
For deeper issues like trauma, toxic patterns, or infidelity, I use a 20-week model to provide the time and care needed for meaningful progress. This includes unpacking harmful patterns, rebuilding trust, and fostering accountability, with a focus on healing and developing healthier behaviours. Along the way, I help you navigate individual and shared experiences while building resilience and long-term relational skills.
If you’re ready to take the next step, reach out to schedule your first session. Together, we’ll work toward a stronger, more fulfilling relationship. You don't have to struggle alone; I am here to support you through the challenges you are facing.
