About Dr Behzad
Dr Basit is a Consultant Psychiatrist with 20 years of experience in diagnosing and treating functional mental illnesses and cognitive disorders, with particular expertise in Adult ADHD and neurodiversity. Trained in psychiatry in the UK, and with medical and humanitarian experience across three continents, he brings a holistic, biopsychosocial approach to patient care.
He currently works at the Nightingale Hospital alongside his role at Augmentive. Since 2011, Dr Basit has practised as a Consultant Psychiatrist across inpatient, community, and memory services, and has also trained in Cognitive Analytic Therapy. In addition to his clinical work, he is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College and teaches at King’s College, reflecting his strong commitment to education and evidence-based practice.
