Hello, and welcome. My name is Christophe. I’ve been drawn to counselling since as young as 16 years old. At 18, I volunteered with the Samaritans for two years. Years later when I sat down in my first Introduction to Person-centred Counselling lecture, I completely feel in love with the approach and the beliefs it holds. I entered my counselling journey through the University of Strathclyde’s MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and embarked on several voluntary positions in a College; Perinatal Service; and Trauma-focused charity (where I still provide free counselling today). From there, after graduation, I picked up full-time role in Nottingham where I work closely with survivors of trauma and sexual violence. This opportunity has given me a great deal f experience working with trauma, and many of the accompanying well-being challenges including flashbacks, anxiety, depression, self-harm, panic attacks, and so much more So naturally, my practice is founded on a person-centred approach. Meaning you’re the tour guide of the museum of your life, and my role is follow alongside you as we explore some of the more cluttered and unclear aspects of your experience. My role is to help create an environment in which you feel safe enough to Bloom with Grace. I also incorporate body based exercises for grounding and creating safety, which is particularly useful for traumatized clients. There isn’t a day that goes by where I’m not still learning from books, or from my clients. And I bring this wealth of knowledge and experience into the session in a way that ensures you’re getting the most beneficial therapeutic experience. Get in touch with me today and we can take the time to explore further what your needs are, not just form therapy, but from myself as your counsellor.
