Hello, my name is Brodie. I am primarily a CBT Therapist with 8 years experience delivering talking therapies in the NHS.
My practice is integrative, which means we might draw on several different kinds of therapy, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT), depending on what best fits for you. I like to work in collaboration with you, and we make these decisions together.
My work in the NHS has primarily been with adults struggling with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, OCD and others, often a result of difficult experiences both in childhood and adulthood.
Together we will take some time to understand your life experiences and how they have shaped the way you see yourself, other people and the world. We will explore the ways you cope with distress, whether they are helping you live the life you want, and learn alternatives if they are getting in the way of that.
In therapy, what matters most is the relationship we have together. Finding the right therapist for you can feel overwhelming when there are so many to choose from.
