Neurodiversity is short for neurological diversity. It's an umbrella term that covers many conditions, such as ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (also known as Asperger's), Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Dyspraxia, Language and Communication Disorders, and Tourette's Syndrome.
What is Neurodiversity coaching?
Coaching helps you to work on long term plans while exploring strategies to move forward on goals and supports you in dealing with challenges more proactively.
Coaching also helps modulate emotions like shame and guilt while identifying triggers and maintains motivation to keep you focused on priorities.
My coaching style is based on a collaborative problem solving process where you and I work together to identify and solve the problems you are currently experiencing.
Sometimes this involves teaching you skills, especially those that do not come naturally or those you have trouble carrying out consistently.
I have a solid understanding of the different conditions that the Neurodiversity umbrella term covers, the strengths and weaknesses in particular.
Some of the techniques I apply are used by both therapists and coaches.
Daily life as an adult brings many difficult tasks – such as running a household, keeping up with work, or managing finances. It may be that you have problems with organisation or following through with tasks. This can result in you chasing short-term rewards instead of meeting your desired long-term outcomes.
