Are you feeling overwhelmed, lacking motivation, disconnected, questioning your choices or simply want to enjoy a better quality of life? I have worked extensively with people with anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, relationship issues and big life transitions, as well as spiritual issues and creative blocks. People need to feel listened to in order to reconnect with themselves and develop the capacity to make different choices, and reach out for what they really want in life. I believe that challenges are also invitations to live a more fullfilled life so my role is to work with you to to feel more connection, aliveness, peace and be in touch with your authenticity.
I'm a body relational psychotherapist with 9 years experience in the NHS and in private practice and am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I draw on different approaches, though mainly I work drawing from my training in NARM. NARM is a gentle and effective way to work with how we store our entire life history, our beliefs, our needs and desires in our bodies, and explore how these affect how we relate to ourselves and others. It involves paying attention to your feelings and sensations in the here and now, expanding your capacity to respond to your life from a more centered and present place. I also use creative methods, such as movement or art making to complement talking.
I work in a collaborative and non pathologising way so I don't give solutions or act like I know better about what's best for you. My aim is to meet you with warmth, curiosity, an open presence, and a supportive approach with a fair dose of challenge to help you explore your emotions, thoughts and experiences in a safe way. There are very few things that would shock me to listen to, so I'd like all of you to feel welcome. I am ready to meet you, and see how I could support you in your healing journey.
