I am a Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in Adult ADHD, with more than 25 years’ experience in adult mental health.
Before focusing full-time on ADHD, I spent over 15 years working across London NHS Services including General Adult Psychiatry, including community mental-health teams, Assertive Outreach, Early Intervention in Psychosis services, inpatient wards and addiction psychiatry. This gave me extensive experience of complex mental-health presentations, risk, trauma, substance use, mood disorders, psychosis, personality difficulties and the reality that ADHD rarely exists in isolation.
I previously worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist at Psychiatry-UK for 5 years, where I carried out a large number of adult ADHD assessments and supported many people through medication titration and longer-term treatment. I have particular experience of adults whose ADHD has been missed, misunderstood or attributed instead to anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, personality, addiction, or simply “not trying hard enough”.
I see people from many different backgrounds. This includes professionals who have built successful careers while privately feeling overwhelmed or close to burnout; university students who are struggling with organisation, deadlines, attendance or independent study; entrepreneurs and creative people whose ideas and drive may sit alongside difficulty with structure and follow-through; parents trying to manage family life while running on empty; and people who have spent years feeling that they are capable of more than they have been able to show consistently.
I also have ADHD myself. That does not replace clinical expertise, but it gives me a personal understanding of the often invisible effort involved in managing attention, motivation, organisation, overwhelm, emotional intensity and everyday life.
My approach is thorough but straightforward. I look beyond a symptom checklist to understand the full picture: childhood, education, work, relationships, mental health, physical health, coping strategies and the real-world impact of difficulties over time.
My aim is to provide an assessment that is clinically rigorous but also human: helping you make sense of your experiences, understand whether ADHD is part of the picture, and leave with a clear and practical way forward.
