About Abida

Sometimes life can be tough and talking about the challenges and struggles we go through with our loved ones can be even more difficult and it can leave us feeling isolated and lonely. Asking for help is not easy and if you have not experienced counselling before you may find your self asking the question, do I need counselling? If you feel the need to gain clarity, focus and self awareness than counselling is a safe place for you to start your journey of self healing. We are living in the time of uncertainty and many of us are feeling stressed and anxious. It can be helpful to talk to a professional who can provide an outside perspective.

My experience of working with many different organisations including NHS and EAP has provided me with a wide range of interactions with clients which includes many different backgrounds and cultures.

I will be able to offer you a space where you will feel free to express you feelings without the fear of being judged. Working together we can explore the ways to build up personal resilience, self acceptance and self confidence. I can give you the time to explore your concerns and help you gain insight in to yourself so you can make better choices in life.

I am offering you a space where i will try to see the world through your eyes and stand by you. I have supported women who have experienced domestic abuse and supported them in their journey. My Asian background enables me to provide an insight and understanding of overcoming cultural and religious difficulties.

In the therapy session the first thing is to identity and agree a clear goal and objective to work on. As it helps to keep the focus

A therapy session with me can help you identify the followings but not limited to only these.

Identifying your triggers to certain responses

Recognising learnt behaviour

Gain clarity and focus

Creating short-term and long-term goals

Working on creating healthy boundaries

Recognising signs of burnout

Recognising unhealthy coping behaviours

I have experience of working with employees who have suffered from work stress, issues at work, burn out and find a work life balance. I have received great feedback from all my clients and after only few sessions they felt better. I have worked with employees, managers, and supervisors from many different organisations. Feel free to book a free consultation with me to see if we can work with each other.

Abida's Testimonials

  • "I was quite hesitant on doing remote therapy because I wasn’t sure if I would find it beneficial or if I would connect to my therapist. I came across Abida’s professional profile online and from her expertise and experience I took the risk. I had previously had counselling before and struggled to feel that my previous counsellor understood my cultural background. It was very important to me that the guidance I received did not contradict my spiritual and religious beliefs. With Abida, I felt our sessions ran smoothly and I did not have to explain my cultural or religious background because she was equipped with the knowledge. I learnt healthier ways to cope with challenges in life and my emotions because of Abida. Abida is very professional, empathetic and always made me feel safe to discuss my honest feelings and thoughts. Abida was always flexible with me due to my work pattern. I know if I needed counselling again I can contact Abida and she would be willing to fit me into her schedule."
